💡 Adding another software system doesn't necessarily make logistics simpler.

In fact, sometimes it makes it more complicated.

A logistics company may have:

OMS for orders
WMS for the warehouse
TMS for transportation
Route Optimization for delivery
Driver App for last mile
Tracking Platform for visibility
Billing System for settlement
Analytics Platform for reporting

Each system may be excellent at what it does.

But here's the challenge:

Who connects them?

And more importantly:

Who orchestrates the entire operational journey?

Every additional system can introduce another:

→ Integration
→ Data model
→ User interface
→ API
→ Workflow
→ Source of truth
→ Maintenance requirement
→ Potential failure point

This creates what I call the “technology stitching problem.”

Companies spend enormous amounts of time and money making systems talk to each other.

And when something breaks, teams often end up asking:

“Which system is actually correct?”

I don't believe the answer is to eliminate every specialized solution.

The answer is to create a connected operational layer that can orchestrate the entire logistics ecosystem.

The future of logistics technology will likely combine:

Specialized capabilities + connected workflows + unified data + intelligent decision-making.

That is a fundamentally different approach from simply adding another point solution.

At Cart2Cargo, this is one of the ideas behind our Logistics Operating System.

We're not trying to build technology for technology's sake.

We're trying to make the entire logistics operation work better as one system.

Because the best technology isn't necessarily the system with the most features.

It's the technology that makes the overall operation simpler.

What do you think?

Are logistics companies dealing with too many point solutions today?
